Question : are allergic reactions to titanium post surgery legitimate, I have read a lot of anecdotal evidence that there is a connection between a range of pain and weakness related symptoms post op involving titanium inserts
Brief Answer:
Usually titanium is safe.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have been using titanium implants in my practice since last 10 years and never come across any patient with any such complains. If there is metal reaction than it can cause some pain, but it is not very common.
I would recommend you to send x ray of your implant, on the basis of which I can decide if there is some need of any treatment.
Thanks
