Are There Any Antidepressants That Does Not Cause Low Libido As A Side Effect?

Question: I am presently on Zoloft was 100mg. am now cutting myoself down to 50mg. the side effects are really bad from cutting down, the reason I cutting down is because I have no sex drive on 100 mg. I also have aches and pains in my body since I have been on Zoloft. Is there any antidepressant out there that doesn't cause no sex drive and weight gain??

Zoloft is Sertraline and the drug is a SSRI drug. The drug is known to cause sexual side effects in a lot of individuals. Usually the side effects are seen at high doses but in some can be seen in lower doses also. If the doses caused sexual side effects then other antidepressants can be used that are relatively free of sexual side effects. Mirtazapine, Bupropion are free of sexual side effects and can be used. The drugs are also safe drugs and have efficacy comparable to Zoloft. You can discuss with your doctor to start either of these drugs and you will not have sexual side effects. Bupropion will also not cause much weight gain.
