Question : Are there any interactions between phytonutrients such as found in Standard Process Products and the following prescription drugs? Allopurinol, lisinopril, elavil, fioricet, k-dur, lasix, norco, prozac and valium.

Brief Answer: Prefer less wheat and protein food... Detailed Answer: Hi, Your brother suffers from gout besides few other morbidities. I am sure his doctor would have adviced for protein restriction as a treatment. Besides restricting wheat, cauliflower, mushroom and purine containing food such as tomato, I do not have any complaints against using phytonutrients. Please verify protein and purine contents of each of his food before taking them. As such there are no robust evidences that they will interact with the listed drugs. Hope this helps. Regards
