Question : Hello,

I have been taking Cipralex - escitalopram, for 2 years for my anxiety disorder and i feel great.
I haven't had a drink in years, as i know you don't have to mix it with cipralex ( even thou i know people who take it and drink). I was never a drinking person, but one beer when out in a pub was fine.
My question is, dose none alcohol beer have any interaction with cipralex? Is it really alcohol free? Will it be safe?

occasional alcohol with cipralex is ok,beer is safe

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Cipralex does not have significant direct drug interaction with alcohol.Beer in general contains around 5% alcohol. Without alcohol we cannot say it is beer!

In conclusion to take occasional beer and cipralex is safe.
