Are There Drug Interactions Between Oral Contraceptives And Metformin?

Question: hi
My daughter age19yrs,height5.3,weight135lbs had pcos takind oral contraceptive and metformin for last 10 months.Recently found Tb-pcr positive.Isoniazied is prescribed.My question is there any drug interaction with all three or she will stop taking oral contraceptive or metformin.Thanks.

Hi and welcome.
Cosnidering available scientific data there is no known interaction between these drugs so niether of it should be stopped. There are some genral side effects of isoniazide such as loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting unusual tiredness or weakness but these cant be prevented.
So she should continue OCs and metfromin.
