Question : I have had shaking in internally in my legs and arms after I wake up its like a motor running and it continues most of the day I take mirtazapine for anxiety and depression do you think this might be a sign of Parkinson's disease. I am 58 years old
Brief Answer:
Consult a neurologist for examination and evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Parkinson's disease is an age related degenerative disease. It is usually unilateral in onset with tremors, increased muscle stiffness, slowing of movement, gait and other related problems.
If you feel only tremlousness but no visible tremors and other symptoms then it may be related to your anxiety.
It will be better if you consult a neurologist who can examine you properly and advice accordingly.
Treatment for symptom control is available for parkinsons and can be initiated if diagnosis confirmed.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
