1. Spider Veins are common terminology for what is called Reticular Veins

2. Reticular veins are initial form of Varicose Veins.

3. Slowly, they progress to Varicose veins eventually..

4. Yes, Varicose Veins are hereditary.
But, that doesn't mean it affects the offspring 100%

5. Basically, there is defect in valve system that leads to varicose veins
And yes, I have seen familial cases of varicose veins.
