Brief Answer:
Gastroenteritis in kids treatment.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Most probably your son is having gastroenteritis that is a vital infection and sometimes may not give fever.
Just keep him under observation, if he still vomits give him fluids for rehydration ,tresol
is recommended.
Saline crackers can help .
You can use ginger tea or mint tea to help.
Also you can use OTC pepto bismol, or antihistamines such dramamine.
If it continues for more than two days go to doctor.
The ear stinging is due to the vomiting to hard forces secretions to eustachian tube.
Drinking or chewing with nose closed or chewing chewing gum can help. It will be eased even by antihistamines. It will resolve within two days. If not go to doctor.
Keep him under observation.
