                                    Brief Answer:
Reuse in the same person does not transmit infection but has other harmful effects
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sureshbessetty,
Thanks for the query.
I have read it and understood your concern.
Actually, insulin pen needles are intended for single use,..but many people tend to reuse it as the prick is going to be the same person, so there is no risk of transmission of diseases like Hepatitis C.

Such reuse should be allowed only after the informed consent of the patient....as such, repeated pricks can cause-
-Bacterial growth on a used needle & is likely to cause infection of skin at the prick site next time.
-Multiple pricks with the same needle may break the delicate tip of the pen needle. This can lead to painful prick next time and also likely to cause lumpy skin at the prick site
I hope that answers your query. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks

                                    Madam thanks
But as I mentioned about the practice followed by the physicians to whom I saw ....one physician after injecting me ...thow th at injection to dustbin
Another time one also done the same thing and instructed his compounder to burn the injection completely.
As you know many times we are not following whether a person. Or doctor is changing the injection during vaccination.
So I had the doubt of there practice. To confirm that I sharing this details with you ....just to confirm that the physicians followed the good procedure of vaccination

As I talked with that physicians last time to whom I took the vaccine ,he told me that .... reuse of injection ,is not happening now a days until unless it is a insulin in which same medicine is going to single sugar patient .
So can I confirm my self that this physician procedure or practice is good.
Actually some time when we go for any vaccination we doesn't ask doctor the vaccination is new or used one

                                    Brief Answer:
As. rule single prick with disposable syringe &needle are used.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sireshbessetty,
Thanks for the follow up query.
As your doctor has rightly mentioned, now a days reuse of syringe &needle are completely out of practice...(in order to prevent disease spread through blood/serrum of infected person .
So disposable syringe &needles are used for any injection including immunisation. After use the used up syringe with needle are collected in prick proof container & they are disposed off individually/handed over to garbage collectors in a separate prick proof container , for mass disposal at municiple level .
For vaccination single dose vaccine syringe is used for each vaccinated person OR packed disposible syringe is to be used for single prick as a rule.Old glass syringe &metal needles are not to be used after boiling for vaccination purpose. They need to be autoclaved for a single use (hich is not practicable)
In case one is not sure about single use of syringe at a vaccination centre... he can enquire about it &get satisfied &then only get the vaccination.
I hope that clears your doubt.
