Brief Answer:
Pre - Diabetes stage. Kindly follow Diabetic diet and regular exercise.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and attached reports. Here is my advice.

As per reports, Both fasting blood sugar levels and HbA1c indicate Pre-Diabetes stage. Pre Diabetes stage can be reversed to Normal with Proper Diabetic Diet and Regular Exercises.

Prediabetes is where your blood sugar is higher than normal but not high enough to be diagnosed as type 2 diabetes.

The exact cause of prediabetes is unknown, but it’s associated with insulin resistance.

A person with prediabetes has blood sugar levels that are high but not yet within the diabetes ranges. There is still time to control the levels and prevent diabetes from developing.

Kindly follow a proper diabetic diet, exercise regularly, and lose your weight if you are overweight.
Completely stop Alcohol and smoking if you do it.

Completely avoid fast foods , oily and spicy foods, sugar-sweetened drinks , foods with high levels of added sugar, such as candy , foods rich in refined carbohydrates, such as French fries ,red and processed meat ,Excessive amounts of saturated fats etc.

You should have a diet which is high in fiber, low in added sugars, dense in nutrients.

Eat a lot of vegetables and citrus fruits green and leafy veggies are best. Consume whole grains, sprouts, lean meats , eggs, legumes , healthy fats.

Make use of spices like ginger, clove, garlic, fenugreek in your diet.

Drink plenty of water and use unsweetened herbal teas.

Regular exercise like walking, jogging, biking, swimming and yoga meditation will help you a lot.

Along with that, Avoid oily, fatty foods as Triglyceride and LDL levels are on higher side.

For low Vit B12 and Vit. D, you can take Vit. B injections on alternate day and Vit. D 60K IU once weekly after physician consultation.

Hope I have answered your query, let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale.

Hi Doctor,
Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation, According to diet my father is already following the above mentioned points and he rarely eats sweets or oily items , that should be fine right ?
Will change his routine with regards to exercise as you mentioned. He has office work related stress pretty much frequently and I guess that should also be controlled.
Thank you again for the response sir.
