Question: For the last three years I have been taking TEGIBS6 along with Placida and Pantocid DSR. With Tegibs now off the shelves, I have been perscribed CINTAPRO tablets. But it is not helping me. What can I do for this bloated feeling, pressure on rectum, stomach pain and constpation. Can you perscribe a line of treatment?

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Tegibs contains tegaserod which is specifically indicated for symptomatic relief of irritable bowel syndrome.
Since tegaserod has been banned in india, cisapride is a good alternative. Otherwise you may need to use a combination of prokinetics like metoclopramide and omeprazole for symptomatic relief. You can get the most suitable drug prescribed for you after consulting your gastroenterologist.
Hope this answers your query. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.

Wishing you good health.
Regards.
