Vit D supplement for def. High lymphocytes may be due to viral infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on 'Ask A Doctor' service.
Low vitamin D can be corrected easily by taking vitamin D supplement 60,000 IU one a week for two months followed by repeat vitamin D levels.
If the levels come back to normal range, you may continue monthly dosage of vitamin D.
In addition, try to have more exposure to sunlight.
Lymphocytosis is not worrisome.
Lymphocytosis can occur due to viral infections and chronic infections.
Have you had fever in recent past?
If you have suffered fever in past then lymphocyte count will come back to normal after few weeks.
You may undergo hematological follow up after some time to look for improvement in lymphocyte count.
If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.
Thanks and take care
