Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It is most likely a carpal boss. Carpal bosses are bony enlargements that develop at the base of the metacarpal bones in the hand.

Carpal bosses can be caused by a number of factors, including:

* **Osteoarthritis:** As the cartilage in the hand joints breaks down, the bones can rub together and cause bone spurs to form.
* **Injury:** A blow to the hand can damage the bones and joints, which can lead to the formation of bone spurs.
* **Repetitive use:** Repetitive hand movements, such as those used in certain jobs or hobbies, can also cause bone spurs to form.

Carpal bosses are usually not painful, but they can sometimes cause discomfort or stiffness in the hand.
number of things you can do to manage your symptoms, including-

* **Resting the hand:** Avoid activities that aggravate the pain.

* **Physical therapy:** A physical therapist can teach you exercises to strengthen the muscles in your hand and improve range of motion.

In rare cases, surgery may be necessary to remove a carpal boss that is causing severe pain or disability.
