Question : Both eyes blur then can clear, something by simply shaking my head. Sun is very hard, makes the blurring worst, usually more in left then right eye. Retired, but for over 30 years, welding of all types at work.

I read your query and here is my advice.

I think you may need to visit an ophthalmologist soon to examine your eyes.
The symptoms you are having of blurred vision, especially more in one eye which is made worse in sun is more characteristic of cataract.
Cataract is clouding of lens of eye and it is caused by chronic conditions such diabetes, hypertension, obesity, people who smoke,
use of corticosteroid medications or statin medicines used to reduce cholesterol.
Visit an ophthalmologist soon.
