Question : Can 100 mg Doxycycline for 30 days and 250 mg of azithromycin for 5 days replace the need to take typhoid pills before traveling to Vietnam?

Thanks for writing to us.
Ideally the best way to prevent typhoid while traveling to endemic countries is by taking a single shot of conjugated vaccine at least 2 weeks before travel.
If time is an issue for you, then I would advice
1. Strict water and food hygiene while traveling.
2. The pills you mentioned could be OK.
