Question : Hi- I am allergic to sulfa drugs, as I have experienced pancreatitis from it...I just started taking adderall IR at about 30 mgs about 3 times a day...yesterday I woke up with some serious pain in my upper abdomen....could the adderall be causing another bout of pancreatitis???

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. In a study conducted a few years ago, a certain percentage of the study group who was put on adderall reported to have pancreatitis after the medication was started.

So I do believe that adderall can trigger pancreatitis, especially because you have a history of the same, please report to your doctor about the same before it gets any worse and substitute it with another more suitable medication.
