I appreciate your concern

Adderall is prescribed for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and in narcolepsy. It requires a prescription from a doctor/ psychiatrist.

There is no specific test that needs to be done prior to starting treatment with adderall

However there are certain conditions in which it's avoided. These include hypertension, hyperthyroidism , glaucoma. So these should ideally be ruled out.

Concomitant use of drugs like MAO inhibitors and linezolid is also contraindicated with adderall.
