Can Advantan Cream Be Used For Acne Marks On Face?

Question: Hello how are you?
I have a question about using Advantan cream thas been prescribed by my dermatologist to use on my affected area.
About 2 weeks ago I developed a big pimple on my nose that has left a dark patch in the area. Iam Asian with fairly brown skin so what's left is a dark patch with tiny bits of redness (most likely from picking at it). The dermatologist has prescribed me the cream to use on the affected area to help reduce the inflammation. I'm reading around the web that it shouldn't be used if you have acne? The area I'm treating the cream with doesn't seem to have any active acne but what is left from it (dark pigmented patch). My question is, is it safe for me to use the cream on that area? I'm just scared anything worser could happen from the cream being applied to the affected area. I know my dermatologist advised me already but I'm just after a second opinion.Thank you for taking the time to read this and hoping to hear from ya.

Is there a reason to why I should not use it? my dermatologist told me to use it for about 4weeks to let the inflammation go down. Then after that we might go with laser to try get rid of the pigment.
Brief Answer:
Use depigmenting creams
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the photograph.
The inflammation is not much.
You can use Advantan cream for a week and then switch over to a depigmenting cream containing a combination of Tretinoin + Mometasone + Hydroquinone.
This will take care of pigmentation.
You might not require lasers.
If you use Advantan for a month it might cause atrophy of skin.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
