Question : My son was prescribed with Aleva tablet , can he take this for long term treatment.

I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.

Aleva contains Ebastine which is a safe drug . It can cause headache, dry mouth and drowsiness.
However, Ebastine is very less sedative.
So, tell me for what indications and problem your son is taking it.

As far as your query is concerned, it is relatively safe. You should try to give your son the medication before going to sleep in night time.
