Can Amlodipine Be Split And Taken In Half?

Question: Can I split my 5mg Amlodipine and take half am.half pm? My cardio just prescribed for high BP but it seems to cause headache and anxiety. Wondering if this might help. Thx.

I read your query. Yes you can try to ease headache and other side effects by spliting and taking half the dose. If this work and stabilise your BP than continue with half dose otherwise take half in the morning and half in afternoon.
