Brief Answer:
you can, but you should not..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, Welcome to HCM,

I've read your query and understand your concern..

Now I need to inform you that , every medication has their own efficacy and shelf-life so when you cut them into pieces they tend to get disintegrated , so I'd advice you not to do so..

Specially when it comes to antibiotics, dosage can't be altered(as under dosage cause resistance to that particular genre of antibiotic) , however antibiotic can be changed depending upon your symptoms and present conditions..

In your case though, I need to tell you that AMOX-CLAV is not the antibiotic of choice for uncomplicated UTI and the most preferable Genre is the Quinolone group of antibiotics eg. Levofloxacin, Norfloxacin, Ciprofloxacin, Ofloxacin etc.

So please discuss this with your doctor..

Let me know if there's any further queries, I'll be glad to clarify..

Take Care
Kind Regards
