Question: Hi, I am currently on Armour Thyroid 30 mg for low thyroid but also take Turmeric/Curcumin 1500 mg and Milk Thistle 500 mg per day. Can these interact with each other? Of late, I feel like my hormones are out of wack... fatigue and sudden clogged pores on the face

Brief Answer:
Check the TSH level:

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read carefully your concern.
Armour thyroid contains subtract of thyroid hormones and should be taken when hypothyroidism or under active thyroid is confirmed ( TSH over 4mUi/ml).
It is recommended usually once daily on an empty stomach, 30 minutes to 1 hour before breakfast and the dose should be monitored by checking the TSH level after 6 weeks at the beginning and than once in 6 months, to rule over or underdosage.
It does not interact with tumeric/ curcumin or milk Thistle if it is taken correctly as mentioned above.
So, i would recommend to check the TSH level and verify that the actual dose of Armor thyroid is the right one.
Otherwise it should be increased or decreased regarding to it's result.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
