Brief Answer:
How you feel matters more! Should be right.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this recently diagnosed SVT. Using atenolol and verapamil(cartia) together may lead to increased side effects. This can cause fatigue, headache, fainting, swelling of the extremities, weight gain, shortness of breath, chest pain, increased or decreased heartbeat, or irregular heartbeat. If you take both medications together, tell your doctor if you have any of these symptoms. You may need a dose adjustment or need your blood pressure checked more often to safely use both medications
Because both medications rather made you feel better, there is no fear in using the 2 together. However, inform your doctor and keep a watch over the possible side effects of taking these drugs together so that you can inform your doctor as soon as you notice any of them for adequate intervention.
In all,, there should be no great fear. Inform your doctor and be more watchful over possible side effects. You would no really run into serious problems because of the small dose of atenolol that you are receiving.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
