Question : My name is XXXXXXX XXXX, I am 53 and I have been taking Zoloft for well over 10 years now. While it does help, I want to change to something like Bupropian. What are your thoughts on the connection of how this will effect my moods.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
When a medicine has been working for so long, it is generally unwise to change it. If you are having any continued benefit at all, but are still having major symptoms of depression, using an augmenting medication might be helpful. Some examples of augmenting medications are bupropion (as you note), T3, mirtazapine, or lithium. I would get a referral to see a psychiatrist to talk about the pros and cons of adding a new medication.
Hope I have answered your query.
