Question : Can CPAP therapy cause your ability to swallow to weaken?
Brief Answer:
This is not a known problem with CPAP.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic.
The CPAP therapy will not cause problems with your ability to swallow. However, users can sometimes swallow air whilst using the machine and this can cause a sensation of bloating.
If your swallowing is weakening, I suggest you see your doctor for investigation. There may be an underlying cause that needs to be treated.
