Question : can a dr tell if you have colidis by a cat scan?

Yes,colitis can be diagnosed by CT scan.

Hello

Yes,colitis can be diagnosed by CT scan of abdomen.CT scan may detect bowel wall thickening,fat stranding etc which are typical features of colitis.
Enhancement pattern of bowel wall is also helpful in diagnosis.

Colonoscopy is also preferred to directly visualize large intestine in few patients.
