Calexa is not used for withdrawal effect of xaxan

Hi,

I went through the query and understood your concern.

Xaxan is commonly used for the medical treatment of panic disorder, and anxiety disorders. Celexa is used as antidepressant drug and for other conditions like panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

So these 2 are different class and calexa is not used to treat withdrawal effect of xaxan. If you developed withdraw effects with xaxan, the dose reduction (tapering dose) may help you.
With the observation if your doctor had felt that calexa may be more helpful than xaxan, then he might have changed the drug.
