Can Cambodia Garcinia,Methotrexate And Duloxetine Be Taken Together?

Question : I am taking methotrexate & duloxetine 60 (for severe zero negative arthritis) and atenolol/chlorthalidone 50/25 for blood pressure. I was on prednisone for years and although I exercise, I am depressed over not losing weight. Is it okay to take Cambodia Garcinia and Green Coffee Bean extract with my prescribed drugs? As a child, I had a rash after taking a sulfa drug and have steered clear of them since that time.

hello and thank you for sending your question. I have reviewed your medical record in the details of your question.

I would not recommend that you take this particular supplement. This supplement has not been studied in large randomized controlled clinical trials specifically regarding interactions with other medications.

If you take this medication you run the risk that you could increase toxicities of other medications which you are taking. Please refrain from taking this particular supplement and try to talk to Dr. about other means of focusing on weight losswhich would include consultation with a nutritionist and possibly a physical therapy expert.
