I would explain as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HMC!

Regarding Carditone, I would explain that it is a herbal supplement to help maintain normal blood pressure values.

What are your actual blood pressure values?

If you have slightly elevated blood pressure values, Carditone may be helpful.

I would also advice some tips to help you have a better control of blood pressure:

- reduce salt and caffeine intake
- perform a lot of physical activity ( walking, aerobics, etc.)
- try to lose some weight if you are overweight.

If your blood pressure values are above 140/90 mm Hg even with the above tips, you should discuss with your doctor on the possibility of starting an antihypertensive drug ( an ARB like valsartan or olmesartan would be a good treatment choice).

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr.Iliri

Thanks Dr. IIir

I am 65 with a height of 6 feet 4 inches.
My weight is 288; was down to 273 from 310 but weight went up again due to having to take care of a bipolar maniac. Was aiming for 253 prior to helping my girlfriend.

Blood pressure was about 85 to 160 at last reading. You are correct; my excercising is vastly inadequate compared to the past. I have Hashimotos regarding my thryroid and previously a b12 deficiency that I have attenuated via sublinqual B12.

Aware the pharmacies you recommend would probably quickly bring my blood pressure into alignment with norms. However, have been reading "The Sinatra Solution-Metabolic Cardiology" by XXXXXXX T Sinatra. MD F.A.C.N, F.A.C.N, C.N.S.

He seems to take a more reconstructive and antioxidant approach versus starving the heart of its ATP energy source for a weaker lower, if you will, blood pressure.

From what I have been reading of your profession there is a tremendous influence by drug companies. All hail medicine! It has vastly improved since the 14th century but I am vary vary wary of modern marketed pharmaceutical medications and their after effects as well as the inverted food pyramid which was heavily promoted by now discovered flawed epidemiological research and heavily promoted by food industries.

So, I am very very wary.

So maybe I should simultaneously try one of the heart "wonder drugs" for fast response but quickly replace it with a naturally occurring product like carditone.

I did see a cardiologist a year or too ago but he was too fast on the trigger prescribing Losartan HTCZ. What is your opinion here? I now have google and your service to understand for myself its actions and seldom mentioned, other than on the television, side effects.

Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX!

Thank you for the additional information.

It seems that you are overweight and not very active. This lifestyle is not very helpful with your blood pressure.

From the other hand, thyroid dysfunction could contribute to high blood pressure values. That is why, I would recommend you to periodically check your thyroid hormone levels.

I agree with you on the fact that all anti-hypertensive drugs have a lot of adverse effects.

But you should also know that they can help lower your blood pressure more fast than herbal supplements.

Losartan HTCZ seems to be a good treatment choice for the first stages of high blood pressure.

It has a lot of adverse effects (like all the other antihypertensive drugs). I would mention ( fatigue, dizziness, low fasting glucose, diarrhea, nausea, epigastric distress, etc.), but it is usually well tolerated by patients.

Anyway, you can try also the natural ways to lower your blood pressure:

- Carditone coupled with the above mentioned lifestyle modifications.

You should consult with a dietitian to help you lose some pounds.

The treatment choice (natural vs pharmachological) for your hypertension remains to you. Your blood pressure values are not too high, and they can normalize even with Carditone and lifestyle modifications.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
