Question : Hi, I am taking cholestyramine powder 3 times daily, I am also taking Crestor. The dose of cholestyramine is the large scoop AND 4 level small scoops each dose. Is this too much? Will the two cumulatively reduce my cholesterol too far? Should I cease the Crestor stat? I cannot contact my doctor until Wednesday.

Have you done your lipid profile? As far as taking these medicines together is concerned, there is no as such contraindication. In fact , these two medicines help each other in lowering cholesterol. You can continue with it.
