Brief Answer:
Flu does not need antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. Flu is a viral disease and it get cured with rest and fluid. No need to give any specific medication for this. Just make sure that your husband is getting rest and fluid support.
As far as Clindamycin is concerned it is a good antibiotic and it has good anti bacterial activity so continue this. This will prevent any secondary bacterial infection.
I hope this answer will be useful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
