Question : I had surgery for erupted ovarian cyst and appendectomy . erupted cyst caused perotinitis. prescribed contraloc and augmentin. This treats perotinitis ?

Hi dear,I understand your concern, Pantoprazol (Controloc) will decrease your acidity,it is correct. It seems strange ,but E.aeruginosa, which usually cause peritonitis is still sensitive to Augmentin, but better intravenous. If they will not see effect, they will add second antibiotic.
Recovery soon

Detailed Answer:
Thanks again for using HCM. You had the correct treatment, received 2 days of intravenous antibiotics and the average of time for oral antibiotics is 10 days. It depends of the response, you might need to complete 14 days of antibiotics. The abdomen can be sore and bloated for 2-3 weeks after surgery. The burning sensation can be for same time and complete recovery can last up to 4-6 weeks after surgery. Eat healthy without irritants and you will feel better soon.
