Can Creon Be Taken For Fatty Liver Disease?

Question: Dr has prescribed me Creon today for 1 month , cause she said I had a fatty liver .... Is that right ? I read it's for pancreas ? When I finish dosage in a month, will my body become dependent of it ??

I read your question and i understand your concern. Fatty liver has multiple causes and in west in males, alcohol is the commonest. Alcohol leads to exhaustion of pancreatic lipases and thus lead to fatty liver. Crean is a pancreatic digestive enzymes to help the deficiency. But more important is quitting drinking to combat this fatty liver and associated comorbidities. Regarding its use duration, that will purely depend upon resolution of symptoms.

Meanwhile losing weight, modifying diet and lifestyle and abstinence from alcohol are mandatory. Talk to your doctor and let the them decide what is best for you. I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please,
