Can Dexolac Premium 2 Be Given To An 8-month-old Child?

Question: Hello doctor,

My baby is now 8.5 months old. His birth weight is 2.7 and his current weight is 6.7 kg.
I have started my baby on dexolac premium 2 , as I have started going office. We tried all the formula but he likes this one only. But just now I came across in internet blog that dexolac premium is for pre-term baby. Is it so ? Can I not give dexolac premium to regular term baby ? Will that affect him anyway ??

Brief Answer:
Will not harm the child

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Let me assure you that giving Dexolac Premium 2 will not harm your child or would not affect him in any manner. However, giving Dexolac 2 should suffice. I would insist you to gradually move to semi solids, using milk only as an accessory provided that the nutrients can be procured from other food sources.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
