Can Diazepam Be Taken Along With Lexapro?

Question: How dangerous is it to take Diazepam when trying to get used to Lexapro
Brief Answer:
not dangerous as you think
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
Diazepam is a benzodiazepine and used for anxiety and sleep. In low dose it acts as anti-anxiety. No drug interaction is there between these two drugs. You can safely take it with lexapro.
However you should take diazepanm as per prescription only to avoid sedation. And use diazepam regularly only if your doctor has mentioned otherwise it can cause dependence.
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
