Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

Before taking medications there are a few things which one can do these help relieveing consipation.

1) Drink loads of fluids.
2) Use high fibre diet like fruits..vegetables.. XXXXXXX bread...whole grain bread...cereals ...fibre supplements.
3) Use meat in less quanitity.
4) avoid fizzy drinks coffee caffeine smoking (what ever is relevant).
5) Apply super oily food like fried and junk.
6) After doing all these measures hopefully your constipation will subside it this doesn't happen then you can use mild laxative like gramaffin/cremaffen if even that doesn't help then you can continue with dolcolax. Yes in some people this may cause cramps .
