Can EpiPen Be Taken For Side Effects Of Risperdal?

Question: My father has had a horrific series of adverse reactions to (illegally) prescribed resperidal. Will the epi-pen injection help?
The nature of adverse reactions to resperidal my father has experienced over the past two months (and never before) were: not recognizing his own children, drastically reduced awareness of people and things in his environment, needing to be fed (like a toddler), needing to be dressed and undressed. He has had many monstrous bouts of restlessly walking around his house night and day, not knowing what he was doing. The 24/7 carer for my parents and my mother have been greatly distressed, not knowing what to do to get him back to the restored state of good health he was in seven months ago. PLEASE HELPASAP

Epi Pen is used for serious adverse reactions like Low blood pressure , choking sensation , breathing difficulty . If any of these symptoms are there Epi pen can be used .

FIrst kindly let me know what adverse reaction he is having and in what severity?

My father has experienced 'choking sensations' when eating - and this has led to his avoiding eating ... and almost starving.

Then Epi pen would do but a better option is to take him to ER soon.

Also stop Risperidal.
