Brief Answer:
Some interaction occur, use the lowest dose...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back!
Using Xanax together with gabapentin (GABA) may increase the side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. These side effects aren't lifethreatening and are more common with largest dose (0.5-1 mg). This is why 0.25mg of xanax can be considered safe.
If you were my patient i would like to suggest starting with a lower dose (half a tablet).
Wish you health!
