Posted on Tue, 20 Oct 2015
Question: I am suffering from hair fall over past 18 months. I applied Elocon Lotion and took keraglo tablets which were prescribed by the doctor. It helped me but since the last few months my hair fall has increased. Now i have been using Grocapix Gel and Tugain 10% Solution alongwith Keraglo Tablets. Can it help to regrow my lost hair and help in stopping present hairfall?

Brief Answer:
Appropriate treatment is the key!

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome to this site!

I am Dr V XXXXXXX , a Sr Consultant.

I have noted your details and concerns. From your description, I think that your condition matches closely the diffuse hair fall that affects several individuals due to physical or mental stress and after certain events of life. Your stated improvement gives a clue to that.

I also think that probably improvement occurred because of the oral medication and the reversal to original state was triggered by discontinuation of steroidal preparations.

While presently you are on Keraglo, this is likely to lead to improvement after some weeks to months while the topical application may not be of significant use.

You may continue with current treatment but take following additional precautions:

1 Not to comb wet hairs

2 To avoid massage

3 To consume healthy and balanced diet

4 To avoid stress and chemical treatments for hairs like styling gels or coloring.

When you simultaneously engage in these additional measures, your probability of recovery will definitely improve. It might be a couple of months or even more before you notice the improvement.

Best wishes!

Ayurvedic preparations are in fact not needed for your recovery.

Sir
As i discussed with you regarding my hairfall earlier, i wanted to ask whether it can be hereditary for me to lose hair as my father and my grandfather also didn't had hair in forehead and centre of the head in their late ages, but i am only 23 right now and losing hair.
I am following this diet right now
Morning-Badam with honey & dry amla
Breakfast- Sandwich alongwith a glass of milk(Cold coffee)/ Juice (homemade)
Lunch-Normal food (Cereals, greeny vegetables) with salad (Cucumber,Tomatoes)
Evening-Tomato and other vegetables soup
Dinner- Fruits
Will this diet, medicines (Keraglo) and the topical solutions (Tugain 10% & Grocapix Gel) help me to stop hairfall?
How long can it take to regrow hair on my head, if it can regrow?
And by using Sebawash shampoo my hair fall more durin bath, so can i use it only twice during the week and rest of the days wash my hair by soap(Dove/Pears)?
