Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
In your question there are lot of probabilities like the cashier could possibly be a XXXXXXX 20% all XXXXXXX were HIV positive. Your neighborhood has a prevalence of XXXXXXX community.Blood stain on cashier's fingers- not knowing whether it was wet or dry. I think your worry is baseless.
HIV is not so contagious like an ordinary cold, Scabies, Ebola etc.
Moreover HIV can not exist outside the body or body fluid not more than few seconds. It is highly friable and not able to withstand atmospheric conditions. So the HIV transmission from the blood appeared over the fingers of the cashier was negligible as per CDC, XXXXXXX So there is nothing to worry about this.
Take it easy and carry on your routine as usual and forget the thermometer.
