Question : Hi , Im super worried about HIV I did oral on a girl .Tested 3 week later alere determine at a local clinic NEGATIVE . Tested ora quick my self at 6 week NEGATI


Hi DR . As inexplained in my previous question in super worried about being exposed to hiv , I performed unprotected oral sex on a woman once , vaginal sex was protected , I started to be worried after 3 weeks and I went and got tested at a local clinic they used Alere Determine blood test result was negative .
Now im at 6 and a half weeks after the possible exposure I tested with oraquick oral swab and tested negative . But im still worried . Thanks in advance

HIV cannot be contracted through oral sex. HIV is very unlikely with vaginal sex as long as you use protection. I would perform a follow-up HIV blood test at 6 months after exposure, and if that is negative, you are definitely negative for HIV.

What are you thoughts since I was tested 3 weeks after possible exposure with Alere Determine finger prick and tested Negative .
Then six weeks oral after possible exposure swab from ora quick and tested Negative .
