Question: Hi Doctor,

In continuation to my previous discussion.

You had mentioned that HIV cannot be transmitted through intact skin on the penis shaft. Can it be transmitted through ingrown hair on the penis shaft which is not covered by the condom?

Hi Doctor,

In continuation to my previous discussion.

You had mentioned that HIV cannot be transmitted through intact skin on the penis shaft. Can it be transmitted through ingrown hair(Hair coming from inside of the skin) on the penis shaft which is not covered by the condom? Also the skin on the shaft was intact.

No HIV cannot be transmitted through ingrown hair.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at the HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.

The HIV usually does not not enters through intact skin or ingrown hair. But if you undergo sexual intercourse which causes abrasion and through which virus can be transmitted. Practice barrier method for intercourse for protection against HIV and STD.

Hi Doctor,
I am reposting my older post to Dr XXXXXXX XXXX, just in case you have not read this.

I recently went on a date with an acquaintance of an acquaintance whose HIV status I am not aware.

This was my first sex experience.I used a condom throughout my intercourse for about 1 minute. However, after I ejaculated, I continued to thrust for about 10 seconds and after finishing I pulled out and my penis became significantly softer ( perhaps even as I was pulling out. My penis might have become softer when inside the vigina with a condom), to where the condom only covered perhaps half of my penis shaft, and not to the base. I remember the head of the penis and foreskin still was covered. Am I at risk of contracting HIV? Will I contract HIV if the viginal fluid came into contact with the skin on my penis shaft. I also remember, my penis shaft skin was intact. Kindly advise.

Also,I remember that by mistake my mouth came into contact with her nipple for about 2 to 3 seconds. I do not know whether she would produce milk. If in case she produce milk and if in case a little drop enter my mouth am I at risk for HIV. As an adult am I at risk of HIV transmission on this event.

Dr XXXXXXX Jangid had already confirmed that, there is no risk of infection from any of these activities. Can you also please confirm the same.

I usually have a phobia towards sex and was diagonised with nosophobia/Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and getting treated for that.

XXXX

Brief Answer:
No risk of HIV.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

My answer will be very brief. In your case there is no risk of HIV. Even if she was lactating then too risk is too low. But that depends upon prolonged exposure. On your case no risk and no tests recommended.

Lead healthy life as you have no threat of HIV.

Take care
