                                            Question : Hello doctor,
I recently had a body massage and the messeuse ended it with a unprotected handjob. She used massage oil and had no visible wounds/cuts/blood on her hands. She had long nails and she scratched my testicle(no bleeding)
1. Am I at risk for Hiv?
2. Do i need to get tested?
3. Does the scratch increase the risk of hiv?
Highly appreciate your advice.
Thanks

                                    Brief Answer:
No risk for HIV
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for returning to HCM
I can tell you are very anxious about this particular encounter with the sex worker. But there is no chance of contracting HIV through this type of exposure. Even if she scratched you testicles she cant transmit HIV unless she also had an open bleeding cut and rubbed it into the scratch. But that is extremely unlikely.
HIV is transmitted through blood and bodily fluids. It can be transmitted during intercourse and rarely through oral sex. Also transmitted during blood transfusions.
You have absolutely no reason to be afrain fo contracting HIV from your recent experience.
