Can HIV Be Contracted Through Oral Sex?

Question: Hi sir/madam. I have homosexual activity over 5 years. During the time I have kissed orally and got sucked penis. I never sucked anyone. Am I on the risk of HIV?o

1. Any sexual activity involving oral, vaginal or anal sex between homosexual or heterosexual partners might put either partner at risk of HIV and STDs if precautions are not taken.

2. In homosexual relationships the transmission of HIV is highest in receptive anal sex and less in oral sex. In your case there is a risk but it is less.

3. It is suggested that you use condoms your partner performs oral sex on you. You should also make sure your partner uses condom if you give oral sex. Kissing is not a risk for HIV transmission.
