Can HIV Be Contracted Through Oral Sex?

Question : Did something stupid on XXXXXXX 14 and regret it so bad
I am a married family man and back on 6/14 at 5 pm I allowed someone to perform oral sex on me for 2-5 mins
Later I find out she may have been exposed to HIV her last partner was infected .

That day forward I was devastated
I cried for days
Been in a real bad depressed state
On 6/23 I did one of those anonymous tests at a quest lab set up for me from one of those std check .com places
My test was at 10 am on 6/23
I waited days for the results and was glued to the computer waiting for results scared out of my mind
I finally get the results today and it says negative
But I recounted my steps and realized I may have mis judged the window
The test said 9-11 days for 95-99 percent accuracy
Well when I add the days I may have been at 8.5 days and not 9
So I am frantic
I can't wait for another test this is killing me
Additionally the test comes back negative but says it only tested me for one type of HIV apparantly there are 2
My test was for HIV 1
They say the #2 is rare
How rare?
Any how I just want a peaceful night sleep
Just want to stop worrying
I know the generic answer is go and test again
I am driving myself nuts can't do it
Can't wait another 3 -4 days
This is so hard

I wonder how much this affects accuracy or ability to detect

Thought I was in the clear but when I double checked my days I found I mis counted then to further complicate things the test only tested me for HIV 1 I had no idea there is 2 types so I now worry do I have to go back and test for the other. Online it says the other type is rare
Any clarity or comfort you can bring to the situation is appreciated

It seems that you had been disturbed mentally a lot. But the situation is not that bad.
Oral sex carries a low risk than anal or vaginal penetrative sex. Vaginal penetration has a lower risk than anal intercourse (around 4-8 per 10000 exposures) a per CDC, XXXXXXX Oral sex put as a lower risk category. Then you can imagine how lower your risk for HIV through your act.
The prevalence of HIV 1 infection throughout the world except certain pockets of XXXXXXX is less than 0.5% only whereas HIV 1 infection prevalence is around 99.5%. So if HIV 1 is ruled out then it is almost sure that you are free from HIV infection.
Qualitative RNA PCR test can pick up the infection as early as 7 days after the exposure if there is an infection. But it will be considered as more conclusive by 3-4 weeks after the exposure.
There is separate Qualitative RNA PCR is available to test for HIV 2 infection. If you want, you can also take up this test to confirm to rule out this rarest possibility also.
Any antibody detection test taken after 12 weeks from the exposure can rule out both with a single and cheaper test.
Once again, you need not worry as transmission of HIV through oral sex is very low.
