Question : Hi,
I am a sexually active person, male 30 yrs old, three days back on my bachelor party i received oral sex from a stripper. It was about for 30sec-1 min. Last 3 days i have not seen any symtopms so far. I called up my health care provider and they said you can have any STD disease and asked me to take all the STD tests. I wanted second opinion on this. Can i get any infection/disease. I am worried about getting HIV or any disease. Please let me know whether you guys help me.

Hi i wanted to correct saying I am a sexually inactive person and NOT SEXUALLY ACTIVE. I actually had never had sex before this encounter,

Brief Answer:
Ruling out with tests the low possibility of HIV/STD is recommended

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
Oral sex carries a low risk for both HIV/STD.
You are insertive partner during oral sex. Yeast infection and Herpes infection can occur commonly with oral sex than other STIs. As there is no symptoms you need not bother. There is nothing wrong to have tests for HIV/STD and rule out the low risk for HIV/STD after appropriate time especially if you are a married man, before resume sex with your wife. Window period for HIV can be extended up to 12 weeks.

I took STD/HIV tests today morning. Also I didn't noticed something couple of days back like 1-2 days after my encounter some white spots on the skin of my uncircumcised penis, Its not on the penis but on the dangling skin. I thought that I had them forever so I didn't tell you. Note I may have even had them before my encounter and wanted to check with you.

I do not want to offend you but o i saw that in some of the posts you have written that oral risks do not carry risk of HIV however in some you have mentioned that it does. Is there a difference in way oral sex is performed that you have varied your answer.

Please check attached reports for image.

Thanks for your help,

Brief Answer:
Oral sex carries a low risk for HIV/STD.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
I saw the picture sent by you.

Those hypo-pigmented patches seen over the foreskin of your penis are not related to this oral exposure and have no clinical importance and you can ignore the same.

Regarding the tests for STD/HIV 5 days after the oral exposure have not much value. Tests for Syphilis, Hepatitis, Herpes and HIV will take much time to reflect in blood (according to the window period of each disease). Get the guidance from your physician.

Oral sex carries a low risk for HIV and not a 'nil' risk. The risk is little more if the individual is a HIV positive individual and having some oral problem like gingivitis, oral ulcer or bleeding disorders.

Protected oral exposure has no risk.(http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/risk/estimates/riskbehaviors.html).
There are more than 25 STDs. Among which very few have risk like HSV and yeast infections, whereas others have low possibilities.
