default
Posted on Fri, 26 Feb 2016
Question: sir, can HIV transmitted through contact with the wet blood outside human body () if some one touch the infected blood outside human body with his penis and after that he masturbates) ??? Can it be transmitted by sewage water (if it mixed with body fluids having HIV) ?? I found on the internet that a researcher Dr Thames has said that HIV can live in sewage water for long. Please help me to clarify my doubts.

Brief Answer:
HIV Transmission possible if open wounds.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Welcome to health care magic. I have gone through the details.

HIV can be transmitted if infected fluid or blood enters the vessels directly or injected directly or through open wounds.
Skin is an effective barrier. So just contact with secretions/blood does not transmit HIV.If there are wounds then there is possibility. If there are abrasions on penis there are chances of transmission.
If infected sewage water enters through wound there is possibility of transmission. HIV does not survive in gastrointestinal tract. So cannot be transmitted if you drink contaminated sewage water.

You can get back for any clarification.

sir, for how long HIV can be infectious in wet blood outside human body ?? Before some days while I was using a public toilet, while my feces fell into the commode latrine some sewage water fell on my penis(often semen comes while I strain in the toilet). After some time of this incident I masturbated. Is there any risk of HIV infection in this way ???

thank U sir. But U have said in your first answer that "If infected sewage water enters through wound there is possibility of transmission". So can I get HIV from the situation described above in the toilet ???

Can someone get HIV from the wet blood outside human body if he touch that wet blood by his hand(after sometime the blood lies on a solid surface) and he masturbates by his hand after touching the blood ??

Brief Answer:
Yes.Not possible unless there are wounds.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.

I don't think you had wounds in either of the areas.
If there were wounds you would have mentioned it by now. Also you would have been cautious too.
So I do not see possibility of transmission of HIV.

You can get back for any clarification.

Thank U sir. I don't know whether there were wounds or not. (I don't know whether I was having any STD at that time or not). Often a little semen comes when I talk to girls and also semen comes when I strain in toilet to make feces come out. Is it the symptoms of STD ??? If this is STD then Can I have wounds on my penis due to these STD?

I think there were no visible wound on my hands during the touch of wet blood and masturbation after that. But can the wet blood infect HIV if it comes in touch to my penis during the masturbation through my hands ?
