Brief Answer:
Your risk of getting HIV in this situation is negligible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello! I have been through your question.
You should know that the chance an HIV-negative person will get HIV from oral sex with an HIV-positive partner is extremely low and the type of oral sex that may be the riskiest is mouth-to-penis oral sex.
Though the risk of HIV transmission through oral sex is low, several factors may increase that risk, including sores in the mouth or vagina , bleeding gums, oral contact with menstrual blood, and the presence of other sexually transmitted diseases.
So, based on these facts and on your above mentioned data (don't have contact with blood or you have not cuts or sores on mouth) your risk to get HIV in this situation is negligible.
You should know as well that other STI, such as syphilis, herpes, gonorrhea and chlamydia, can be transmitted during oral sex.
Furthermore I suggest to do tests for STI and as well a 4 -th generation HIV test (Ag/Ab) in order to be more confident to say that you are 100% free of HIV and other STI.
You should know that the 4 -th generation HIV test is very accurate 3-4 weeks after exposure.
You shouldn't worry because I think that these symptoms are mostly related with a viral situation and not with HIV.
I hope my answer helps you.
I wish you a quick recovery.Feel free to ask me further.
Regards.

Thank you so much for your answer

In regards to the hiv test you mentioned

I wasnt aware that there was different ones

In the past ive been told to wait 3 month and then get tested

So are you saying i can get a faster accurate result by specificly asking for gen 4 test or are gen 4 tests standard now

Im in australia and my doctor told me to wait 3 month so im assuming its not a gen 4 test?

Brief Answer:
Yes you should ask t do specifically for the 4 generation HIV test (Ag/Ab).

Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thank you writing back in healthcaremagic.

You should know that fourth generation tests look for HIV antibodies, but also for something called p24 antigens. The p24 antigens are part of HIV itself, so the infected person have a lot of these in the blood in the first few weeks after infection.

Yes you can get a faster accurate result doing specifically one fourth generation HIV test . This test is very accurate 3-4 weeks after a possible exposure and it is recommended as well after 3 months but only if the person has a higher risk to get infected with HIV( unlike your situation) .

I hope my answer helps you.
Feel free to ask me further.
Regards.
