Question : I had sex with a prostitute yesterday at around 6-7 PM. It was my first sex. The place and the girl did not look so hygienic. She insisted on using condom which I did but during the intercourse, I lost some erection while still inside her. My penis is of small - average size so condom fitting is not proper (my perception) but I think it was on my penis all the time. She was on top all the time. I ejaculated inside the condom only. During the course she kissed me on my face and hugged me quite a few times and I sucked her breasts. I also fondled her vagina. She performed a fellatio while the condom was on. I do not know whether she was HIV+ or not as I did not ask for the same. I am feeling guilty for all this from the very moment I was out of that place.
My question is :
1. Do I have a chance of getting HIV?
2. Do I have a chance of getting any other STD?
3. Since I did it just last evening, is there any treatment using which the disease contraction can be prevented (if there is any) since very short duration of time has passed?

I know that I am more worried because it was a first time experience for me. Also, please pardon me for the full description of the act. I think telling it would be necessary to present the case fully.

Brief Answer:
No risk of HIV but other STDs need to be screened.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Protected vaginal sex and protected oral sex is safe in terms of risk of transmission of HIV. Do you need not worry.

However. Other STDs like genital herpes, syphilis, HPV (genital warts) can get transmitted through close skin to skin contact through minor abrasions in the skin despite using protection while vaginal fluids come in contact with pubic skin and skin of base of shaft of penis during sexual intercourse. This is because a condom covers on a portion of shaft of penis.

Therefore, I would suggest you to undergo STD screening for HSV and Syphilis (VDRL) at 4 weeks from sexual encounter and then repeat STD screening at 12 weeks.

There is no protocol recommended for prophylactic treatment in case of these STDs.

Hope I have answered your query.
