Brief Answer:
No risk of any of these 3 viruses here.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

I can understand your concern, but no, there is no risk for HIV, Hepatitis B or C with what you described.

HIV only lives for a very short time when not inside the body, and it requires blood or bodily secretions (fresh) to survive. It only lives for seconds on inanimate objects like paper. The bag would be clean, so no risk either for Hepatitis B or C. While it is possible to get Hepatitis C from sharing a toothbrush that with someone who is infected, and Hepatitis B from exposure to blood, neither of these pose a risk from soup that has contacted a paper or plastic bag.

I hope this information puts your mind at ease.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

No, cockroaches do not carry HIV or Hep B or C. And these are not present in the air, so it would not have settled on the corn. Nor could the corn pick these up from the bag you purchased it in. So you can consider all of this safe from these 3 viruses.

Detailed Answer:
Then no, there isn't any risk unless there was fresh blood on the shopping bag and you touched that, which I doubt you would do.

The only things to be concerned about for the 3 viruses in question are from unprotected sex, sharing needles, toothbrushes, razors, and from unscreened blood transfusions (which happens in some countries). Also, if you work in the health profession and are in contact with blood. But otherwise, all of the things you mentioned do not pose a risk. Incidental daily contacts such as with shopping bags, poles on the train, etc do not pose a risk. If they did, many people would be contracting these viruses, and it does not occur that casually.
